Great posts JT, really enjoy the camera work and your effort to post them up. Great fish there, just makes the working time between getting to the coast drag on watching your results.

Well done mate. Nice haul. What kind of cod was it? Got myself a big bugger last week and spent the next hour trying to get him to swim back down.

Just a gold spot mate he was a good edible size much bigger and they are only like you said worth letting go.
Got him bottom bashing have got some huge monsters using big live baits chasing smaller buggars and trout.
We are only in depth ranging 60 to 120 foot so they don't have much trouble going back down take the hook out and a way they go, They clean up a lot of the pestilence fish including trigger fish so i like them alot lol
