just bought a new 55lb minn kota bow mounted saltwater electric motor and have seen in photos that some people have added a sounder to the front of there boat and added the transducer onto the electric , WELL WERE CAN I GET THESE AND HOW MUCH. any help appreciated. ps photos of your setups would help cheers bdowdy.......:D

you can get them at most marine shops they are around $50 which i thought was to dear , go in and have a look at them you will find you can make one cheaper. i did and just taped it on, it has been on for 12 months now and has not fel off .gary

You can use a couple of zip ties to hold your transducer to the electric motor just foward of the prop.

mate it depends on the sounder mounting bracket. If you have humminbird you will need to get one even tho you could get it made but like me you couldn't be bothered & want you boat on the water asap get the minn kota one which is rip for what the get but works great. I know some Eagle brackets you can bend the metal to suit the curve of your electric & just buy a big S/S Hose clamp..

why not just wait a little while longer and get the new one with a universal transducer built in . Mine arrived today and is going on my new Galeforce , it would be one of the first in the country I am pretty stoked
