if it is ur transducer start moving it around because it might be getting turbulence.
Thats what was wrong with ours because the guy put it in the wrong place...

i have that sounder and it wouldnt turn on

sent it to taylors in brisbane he checked it out for me and it was the power cable

bought a new cable from them and posted back within a week

i think they only charged me about $20 to check it out

very happy with the service

your transducer looks a little high

Russ.
Here is my P66 position. I have since lowered it 3mm because it wouldn't read at speed.
You position looks good. I have some screens photos fromthe weekend bu the glare is really bad. I will try and post them tonight anyway.

Russ here are the photos.
They are hard to see because of refection. If anyone knows how to take photos from a sounder please let me know?
If you can make them out.
I run mine on maximum speed 4/1 and fish mode as well as increasing the Gain as much as possible without blacking out for the depth i am fishing in. I also push the bottom down to the bottom of the screen using the range function.

The first photo is in 20M of water on sand bottom running in single 200Khz mode.
The second photo is in 10M on Coffee rock. The right hand side is the 200 Khz mode while the left is with the marker zoom set on the bottom. This is a useful feature. In this photo there are fish near the bottom and mid water. There were sweatlip, wrase, squire and cod at this site.
I hope this helps. I hope to get out this weekend and take some more for you.
Let me know if you want to bring yours around.
Cheers,
Scott

Cheers mate
The display on your screen is about 100x better than anything i have ever seen on mine .
I have a feeling it has something to do with the transducer so im going to get it checked out .

Cheers mate

I can tell even with the photos you have provided that mine is not up to scratch
I might still organize a time with you to have a look at my monitor on your unit and get you to show me first hand how you have yours setup.
Cheers

No drama Russ.
How does this weekend sound. I am at Margate, Redcliffe. How does 9am Saturday sound?
I can PM you with the details and we can plug your set into my wiring and go from there.
That will test the set itself.
