Hi Guys,
Wanting to build a new offshore rod to replace my old Live Fibre. Thinking of a Samuri blank, what do you think and which one??

I have three samurai rods for off shore, barra, bass.

Hard to give an opinion on which one, without more detail in your question.

But I have found that brand to be good value, after all, we can spend hundreds and hundreds on a blank before even adding a single guide. They are very light, as are some of the more expensive blanks.

The one I've been using for boat fishing has measured up well, it's pulled out some nice fish for me.

So, if you are looking at the economical end of the market you will be getting good value with the samurai.

The samurai rods are great sticks and great value.
I have three and am having another built.
I am having a 15kg spin built which is the NV9.

Cheers
Pete

Come to think of it, one of mine is an NV7.

I know it's not advisable, but I have switched reels and used it with heavier line for bottom fishing, other than that I use it with a bait caster for casting barra lures.
