Fishing for Bass in Winter time is a bit slower but you do not have to have the early starts as summer time.
Fish good old "Bank Hours" 10 to 2. I reckon best time in Winter is just when the sun starts heat up about 9-10.

I reckon the bass in Somerset in Winter time slow down a fair bit but Maroon and Cressbrook are great. The biggest bass I have caught in these dams has been in Winter time.

And if you can pick your days Wivenhoe is a good winter time dam but watch those westerlies.

Cheers
