gold coast seaway
haD THE DAY OFF AND FISHED THE SEAWAY the wind was blowing from the north at around twenty knots and there is a strong wind warning current for tonight , l managed to catch four taylor on light gear using poppers , also caught a few small queens fish , tried jigging for some kingies but they didnt want to play , there were two guys live baiting and they were having a ball l saw them land a huge jack and a big flathead as well as get busted off a few times went over to have a chatch they claim the fishing had been hot for two days with big goldens and gt s hitting there baits as well as big bust ups which they put down to big kingies . think l might have ago in the morning . might dust off my old jew gear and do a spot of live baiting
its been two years since l have touched anything close to bait but that jack and the goldens have tempted me

Re: gold coast seaway
fished the seaway again today or should l say we attempted to fish the seaway . there was more wind than youll find in a can of baked beans
we were the only ones stupid enough to be out there so had the seaway to our selves couldnt get on the north wall like we planned because of the out going tide and the big swell standing uptried to through poppers but had to keep ducking as the wind blew them back at us
did some live baiting with herring and big mullet scored one good flathead
looks like being crappy again tomorrow might just stick to the cannals heard there are some travelly around
cheers
