Sunshine Reef trip
Hi People
Left home at 3.30am to go for a fish at Sunshine Reef this morning. The trip out was one of the best trips I have ever had.The conditions were perfect to say the least. It took us just under 3/4 of an hour to get there but the fish did not want to play. Stayed there till 9.30am then headed out to Chardons Reef ? only to catch 2 parrot and 1 snappery squire. But it was just good to have such perfect conditions for a change. Not many boats were out that way, Sorry no photos

Re: Sunshine Reef trip
Reel Job,
Bad luck with the fish, but the weather was at least great today. You should have gone out wider rather than Sunshine ??? I bet you will never take advice from that bloke next door again.![]()

Apparently he went fishing for whiting with the family rather than going offshore - and did alright too.

Re: Sunshine Reef trip
Funny that when I read reports from the coast guys saying things like,,, woe as me I only got 2 parrot and one snappery squire,,, and think that there are so many of us bay guys that would love to get that on a good day.
Yes I know that the investment is probably bigger in most cases with bigger and more expensive boats, but still,,, you got to go home with a feed for the family so that can't be all that bad.
