Seal..... bugger the Emperor!!! you are very lucky to still be around
Your near death story on page 1 is an absolute spin out.
I also note you are back as before and under water often ,good on you! But be carefull!!!
I am now 39 but during my late teens and early 20s I was a mad keen spearfisho, I could hold my breath to near 4.5 on the couch watching TV and I used to get near 2 at 20-30m taking it nice and easy.
I have experienced many grey-outs, not totally out but with enough mental faculty to ascend and/or float untill feeling normal again (actually a bit buzzed after).
Upon reading your report I now know how close to the edge I was many times. I think what may have saved me was the need to keep my heart rate low at all times to get that extra time underwater - where the fun is!
Anyway I am about to get back into spearing again soon and I thank you for reminding me I am not 20 anymore and to be very carefull what I try and do after so long away from serious spearing. After your story I will be content with 20sec at 15m, once I work up to it.
Happy you are still here, enjoy the dive! Nice fish by the way. nq

spangled emp, dosen't surprise me there in Sydney theres no where in QLD they can go except the no go zones and thats a on going issue .
You might have a bit more of chance than me using a spear gun as to a fishing rod.
