Mud Island Saturday

Went out to Mud Island Sat morning got to the nw point at about 8am. Fished there for about 2hrs with no success . Went to the ne side for about 3hrs no luck again , the only sign was one squire just under legal size which was released . The only good thing to come out of it was i got to test my new tld package on a shark about 1m long but i want to try it on something better . There were plenty of boats about but i didn't see much action was this the case or did someone catch something desent.

Hi Chillers,

What time were you there at Mud? I was there right on Sun Up, the sounder was chockers with schools of fish, and for a while fishing my normal two rods was too busy on small ( about 34cm ) squire. Then around 10.00am I has my first drag smokin run, but bit me off at the leader. Did the shark have a Jig head in him? 30 min later I got done again!! This time straightened out the hook!!

Was not my day, didn't take anything legal home either.

Gday scalem, i fished the nw from 8:30am till about 10am then went around to the ne and e side till about 4pm. I was in a white allycraft runabout. Where did you fish, and yes the shark had a set of 3 gang hooks hanging out of its mouth, plus when i got it to the boat it snapped mine off aswell. Later when i pulled the anchor up it was caught on the anchor dew to all the jewelry i was lucky it didn't cut the rope .
