Fishing in Bolivia - advice
Just a quickie - any replies would be appreciated.
Am currently backpacking in Bolivia having a look around and am in serious need of a few casts somewhere (it's been over two months!). Has anyone been lucky enough to have been fishing over here or know or anyone who has? Having trouble getting any info here and from the net.
Any info on where to start (companies etc) would be be great. And if not Bolivia - elsewhere in Sth America. Thanks

Re: Fishing in Bolivia - advice
Never been there but found a few sites that offer fishing trips here's one:

I recall seeing a report here on Ausfish a while ago about a trip to Costa Rica. Maybe that poster can help you out?
I did a Google search and found a few companies. They're pricey but that's to be expected I guess.
Do you speak Spanish? Maybe the locals can help you out and even take you with them (if that's safe to try.)
I hope you get a chance to catch a few before your trip ends. I know that there are some MONSTER fish down there in that continent. Good luck!

ruben you have to go to the lakes over there mate, and i know brazil and colombia has good fishing in the jungle but it can be very dangerous around there, you should find yourself a guide if you don't know anyone there, by rubes i assume ur name is Ruben, where is your family from mate?

agree with a guide - a very good guide, no dogdy guides!
Carlos - do you come from that way?
