    Braid to Mono

Firstly just want to congratulate those who put this web site together, helping me heaps with hints, tips and information.Fantastic site.

Question: What is the best knot to tie braid to a mono leader? I have always done a double uni knot, probably because it's easy. Last time I was in Weipa the guides there did a knot where they would twist the braid around and around before attaching to the mono. They reckon it was alot stronger. Can't remember the name.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Cheers

bimini twist and albright to the mono. i can't fault it, and i fish evil drag settings in many situations. It can't have even the slightest weakness in line connections, to satisfy my style. many other knots will equate the same results, but these 2 mentioned knots are very simple and easy to learn.

bimini to albright way to go,

Whats the main drawback of a swivel?

a swivel can adversly affect the action of the lure

it can also be a weak point in the whle equation...due to burrs etc on the metal.

uni to uni is stronger than a bimini in fireline to flourocarbon and easier to tie.while you are still twisting i will be fishing
