    Fishing around Mackay

Just moved up to Mackay and dont know the area at all.
I have fished around flat top island ect
Have fished the goldsmith islands out off Seaforth
Also Bakers Creek and Reliance Creek

Is there anyone kind enough to give me some decent spots or some GPS co-ordinates
    It would be very appreciative.

Even if you are looking for someone to go fishing with I would be interested

G'day mate. The Seaforth area has plenty to offer, all the Smith Islands will produce, depending on the type of fish you are after.
The islands off the city have good places to fish for mackerel etc. There is a good ramp at Sarina Beach for access to Sunken Reef, off Armstrong Beach, the southern islands, Prudhoe island, Knight is and the Beverley Group. A fairly large boat is needed for these islands, being 30-40km off shore.
Freshwater: the dams all hold good stocks of barra and sooties.

A nice chat with Hassan at Tackle World on Shakespeare St. will help with locations.
    All the best.

if you go out to any of the islands just fish the points of the islands where there is abit of run also look for rocky points just off the islands.
just south of lady smith is a group of rocks that come out of the water if youu fish around them you should find a few fish.
