Raymarine ds400x
Hey guys, I have been looking at the ds400x, it looks pretty good, but i thought I would utilise this awsome tool and see if I could ask your opinions. I have heard that it has problems at shallow depths although I also hear that almost all sounders do the same, thanks for your help

Re: Raymarine ds400x
I hear that the ds500 uses the same transducer and pretty much operates the same, so if anyone has experience with these I would be glad to hear about them as well, cheers Hurlz

Re: Raymarine ds400x
G'day Hurlz.
I have a ds500x...best thing since sliced bread! I'm rigging it to a 1kw thru hull transducer in the newby...Never had any trouble in the shallows...don't know what the concerns are...the 400/500/600 are indetical in technology, only the size of the screens are different so I understand....I'm really happy with mine...and can't wait to use it again! Not long now!!!
Cheers
Rhys

Re: Raymarine ds400x
I've got a 600 and it's great (as Revs said only difference is screen size). Don't know about the shallow problem...Never go into water that shallow. But I love it. Has shown some awesome pictures
