Ballina
School holidays are coming up, and I'll be heading down to Ballina...
I'm not sure where to go fishing... I'll be fishing off the shore... Anyone know any good spots to try?

Re: Ballina
The north wall is easily accessed and is a good spot for a live poddy at night. You an also throw slices into the surf side for tailor in the later afternoon/early morning. You can get poddies and yabbies in North Creek, which is also a good spot for wading the flats and throwing plastics. If you prefer bait I have taken some nice fish in North Creek on yabbies.
Another spot to try is Immigrant Cr. Head south on the Highway and a K or so out of town you will see Smith Drive on the left. Follow that and you will find a nice land based spot beside the creek. Caught some nice fish there on yabbies.
If you want to try for a river jew take the ferry across the river and follow South Ballina Beach Rd south to the intersection f Danns Lane. There are some holes along there that hold jew. Fish with fresh beach worms.
Good luck - let us know how you go.
