Kids Fishing Weekend

Did anyone know there was a big statewide kids fishing day on today?

First I heard of it, saw it on 4BC's web site this morning. Thought wow, gotta get to that, then when I looked into it, I found the local one was last weekend! Moved because of the hillbilly festival on in Caboolture - what thats got to do with Bribie I dunno - but there you go.

Wish these things were a bit better advertised, the organisers could of even put a message on this site!

yeh it was advertised in the local rags,,,, the amount of traffic both on and off the water this morning seems to have hit home to most,,,,, i didnt see to many """loners"""" fishing,,,

i think the fish in the spots i visited knew about it too,,,,they were far and few between

This is how my trips look most times. No traffic where we were but lots of fish, could see them but not catch them. Kids had a ton of fun with bait and lures watching the follows and luring mackerel to the boat. Even with poppers splash bang crash then just follow to the boat. Think I was the biggest kid.
