I tried infranview to resize and it just doesn't seem to want to work. I change the width to 110 and when i try to use the pic in my avatar etc it tells me it has exceeded the requirements and will not let me use the pic.
ANY HELP ON THIS

Re: Resizing images for use on the chat boards
if I have a pic on my pc I right click it and send to mail recipient , it then asks if I want to make the pic smaller click yes and send it to yourself, and then you have your pics at 100 KB. not sure if its easier but it works for me.

Re: Resizing images for use on the chat boards
this program fellas has to be the easiest photo resizing tool ever
it runs automatically in the background, and can tell when ur sending pics by email, or uploading them to a webite.
it creates a tempory file of the pic resizies it, then deletes it once finished
no more stuffing around for 20 minutes resizing ya photos of 3 fish!!!!!!!
best of all a free download!

Re: Resizing images for use on the chat boards
Mac users have a much easier option (as always!)
You can download a free Beta version of Skitch from http://plasq.com/skitch A little video there shows what it is all about.
All you do is to copy your picture with one click and then resize it by clicking on the corners and moving the picture in or out ...
Click for full size - Uploaded with plasq's Skitch
Then by clicking on the Webpost button on the bottom right, you can uplift the picture to an associated website and then one click on that website copies the picture to embed in websites such as this by just hitting the paste button ...
Click for full size - Uploaded with plasq's Skitch
As you can see, there is also a range of graphics that you can apply to the picture.
Cropping the picture is done just by dragging in the edges that you want to crop.
All incredibly easy.

Thanks for the link to Shrink Pic and maybe the mods should make a sticky or highlite this for the rest of the members. A new topic describing this may be the way to go.
I am going to pass the link onto as many as I can and recommend that others do so also
That is a cute bit of software and a bldy lot quicker than changing image size in Photoshop unless you want to save it

Re: Resizing images for use on the chat boards
its awesome aye mike!
charlie, the beauty of this program is you dont have to do a thing!
in ausfish for example when u want to put pics in a post
click manage attachments, select the picture/s then click upload! job done
the program does everything else, no cropping ect needed!

PixResizer (photo resizing software)
Hi all, noticed there were a few peeps struggling with photo issues, so i thought this would help.
Photo resizing software that is dead easy to use and only 3.3mb in size. Works with any pics & resizes for uploading or emailing in the blink of an eye.
2 thumbs up.
