    Kitchen tailgates

I have just bought a secondhand camp trailer in pretty good condition. One of the first things I want to do is rig the tail gate up as a swing-out kitchen. I would appreciate any hints or advice in making the bench. Any photos would be great to give me more ideas. Although I'm able to make a basic one myself (very basic) if there are any manufacturers around I wouldn't mine their contact No.

At present all I have in mind is a flat surface with a large hole for a wash basin, pump styled tap and an area for a cutting board.

    Thanks John

While it may not be entirely ethical, why dont you visit a few camper trailer sales places and check out how they do it.

    Re: Kitchen tailgates

I bought a camper trailer last year and went out of my way not to have a tailgate kitchen..

When I setup camp its usually for a week @ least... Vs Day Stops or one night then travel

    1. Most of the kitchens had gas burners installed... The last thing I want to do is to cook hot food 2 Metres from by bed .. Heat, Smell, Saftey.... I cook as far ask possible away from the trailer

    2. Space ... I have a big empty space that I decide what goes where rather than fit things around the kitchen.

    Each to there own
