New kayak ready to go on a trip tomorrow... but where?

    Hi Everyone,

I have my new kayak ready to go, but I can't decide on a good place to break it in.

I have kayaked before, however not for fishing. Can anyone recommend a good place to have a crack at some flatty?

    Thanks!

Try Cleveland, Wellington Point, Manly, Scarborough or Redcliff. All good options.

If you don't mind the travel, Noosa is a great option as is Bribie.

Hayes inlet, end Hormibrook bridge. Put in at clontarf. Good spot in northerlies. U can keep in close. Great flattie area.

    Hey mate,

I just bought a Kayak of my own a few weeks back. Thinking about hitting up Hinze dam this Saturday for a few hours if you're keen?

I've taken it for a paddle down Currumbin River a few weeks ago and although being an epic river to paddle I had no luck with the fish that day. I had the wife waiting on the beach though so couldn't stay out for too long. Definitely keen to get out more in the next few weeks!
