    Pflueger Patriach Rods - Opinions?

Looking to buy a 6 to 8 kg model of this rod for Macks and Kingies

Anyone tried one and have any opinions?

Teaming it with a Shimano Symmetre 4000 size reel with 20lb braid

    Cheers

Should suit it ok. But if you haven't bought the real yet, the new 5000 stradic will match up nicely. Bit more line and had the larger handle which I much prefer over the smaller shimano handles when hooked onto something decent.

I have three of the rods (2-4, 3-7, 6-12) and really like them. Load up nice with plenty of guts. Nice handle etc. Good value for the money.

I use the 3-7 with a 4000 stradic for snapper, small kings/bonito etc, and the 6-12 for kings and will be using it for macs/tuna etc. up north when i go. Im using it with a 6000sw saragosa.

Very good. I only have one but I love it. Get the latest model with the K guides.
