Good stuff. Ta for that.
I've been away from the forum for a while, so I thought I would provide Ausfish members with an updated version of my ID Chart.
It's A4 and previously (circa 2010) I would print it double-sided on card and then laminate the chart for the boat.
These days with pads, tablets and smart phones so prevalent, it's just a simple matter of storing it for the times you'll need it. Of course, hard copies are still easy enough to do.
As before, I will state that I have taken every care to ensure the info is accurate, BUT you must satisfy yourselves that it is. The good news is that the Qld Government supply all the info in PDF format as well, so it can be there on your phone/tablet too.
I know the chart is not exhaustive, I only ever built it to cover species I would likely encounter, or chase, here in SEQ - so I hope it works OK for you as well.
Be happy to hear your feedback.
Best regards, Steve

UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I was going through my original thread (~2010) where it was brought to my attention that the Tuskfish were included in the Coral Reef Fin Fish category, and guess what. History repeats and I'd left it off again
I'm so sorry, I hate stuffing people around. Version 6 has now replaced V5 in the first post of this thread.
Far, far from it.... You haven't stuffed anyone around.
What you _have_ done, is generously and brilliantly gift us with a very useful guide.
It's always with me and I thank you for doing such a good job with it.
(Using Tapatalk on iPhone so can't easily 'thank' or 'like')
Cool thx heaps
Steve your a legend always had my 2010 copy with me and will print and laminate this one to replace it.
Thanks very much Mark.
Awesome...... Mods should make this a sticky.
There are only two moments in time.... There's now, and there's too late.

Ive had your chart laminated in my boat for years now, thanks heaps. I got pulled up by Fisheries one night and they asked if I need a size and bag limit guide. I said "no thanks, Ive got one on board" They loved it.
A lot of people dont know that shark has a 150cm limit.....
No threadfin salmon on the list? They are caught in Brisbane river.
