Holiday apartment with boat accomodation
Does anyone know of holiday apartments on the Gold or Sunshine coast with either Marina Berths or trailer parking available so I can take the family AND the boat?
I can find Bayview Bay Apartments so far but that's all I have found so far. Because we have elderly m-in-law with us it can't be Couran or anywhere without lift and Wheelchair access.
Thanks for any ideas.

Re: Holiday apartment with boat accomodation
Rob Smith has a berth behind the Kawana Waters hotel which he uses for his charter boat. Sometimes he has some extra space. Send him a PM.

Have stayed at the Gemini apartments on the Golden Beach Caloundra. During the off season they will allow you to park your boat in a vacant car spot nominated by them. There is not a lot of head room for a large boat. Also there was no extra cost. They do have outside parking but I wouldn't be risking that.
Cheers.
Bob.
PS . Golden Beach is also Funchy's bit of "God's Country". You might be able to hook up with him for a few places where all these big flathead
are lurking and maybe park the boat at his place.

Wow.... Thanks very much all for the excellent info.
GF that's very decent of you to dob poor Funchy in!
One things for sure.... I could learn a lot from him.
But in truth I suspect we will go Gold Coast if the option is available. North Coast is nicer in my opinion so i will check those leads out however GC is easier logistics for us...
Thanks guys, any further suggestions welcome.

Portside noosa is the best. U can moor boat at back door in a private canal that u need a loch ket to get out. On few hundred metres out to noosa river. Boat is about 20 ft from ur back door and extremely safe.

Re: Holiday apartment with boat accomodation
Bluewater and Deepwater Apartments just near me at the Kawana Pub have marinas out the front and do holidays. You could also book into the Wharf Marina at Mooloolaba and being downtown Mooloolaba you could stay at somewhere like Riverdance like my mate does and oversee the boat in front of you at the marina. Mooloolaba is going to be the safer port to use for offshore fishing compared to Caloundra, Noosa or Maroochydore but the passage, Noosa and Maroochy rivers probably offer better estuary fishing than the Mooloolah River. There are cabins out to your own beach on the Maroochy near the Waterfront Tavern on the way to Bli Bli. Plenty of the Noosa places are on the river up there.

Culgoa point at noosa is a good spot for families and excellent mini marina in protected waters. In my humble view having to use a lock at noosa would wear thin very quickly.

Another is Driftwood near the Munna Point bridge in Noosa ,stopped there for a few years Pontoon, plus sandy beach ,top spot. Just moor the boat at the front of units about 15mts from your deck.

Re: Holiday apartment with boat accomodation
google saltwater villas... their on the canalas at mooloolabal and have a few townhouses and a house all on the canal.... the townhouses only have a beach of sorts but the house has a pontoon.
I've stayed in the townhouses a few times and it's in a good spot walking distance to everything.
On a side not this is a good subject as i think a lot of people look for something similar... not to highjack the thread but would be interested to know if any of the ones people are mentioning are pet freindly as well???
Cheers

Re: Holiday apartment with boat accomodation
When we want to take the boat (which is most of the time) we stay at Broadwater Tourist Park and get a cabin in the water. We anchor the boat out front of our cabin and the boat ramp is inside the tourist park. Good spot to leave from and easy to go through the seaway and head offshore.
The cabins are well appointed and have an electric bbq on the patio which is where we cook most of our meals.
