Southside Ally Fabricator/Boat Builder?
Can anyone tell me if there is an Ally boatbuilder or fabricator on the Southside (Preferably around Springwood/Slacks Creek area).
I have a very small job to do, that would just require a few pieces of offcuts and two welds.
Thanks,
Matt

Thanks for all the replys, I didn't expect that many so quick. I also didn't realise that there were so many Ally welders so close.
I'll start at the closest port of call, and go from there.
Thanks again everyone,
Matt

J and T marine fabricators at Yatala. Good price and job. They are located just behind the Gem shop. They have done a lot of work for me and my family and have had not problems.

Job done, I saw Dave at Riptide, got the job done in 10 minutes for $20.
Plenty of work on at Riptide with three hulls on the go, including a 7.8m. Plate porn heaven.
Shallow water anchor system now fitted, ready to fish the flats.
Cheers,
Matt

Re: Southside Ally Fabricator/Boat Builder
What an awesome idea!
Ive seen the flash jobs on the skeeter type boats but thats within reach of every boater. You should make them and sell them!

Re: Southside Ally Fabricator/Boat Builder
Thanks, but not my idea, manual shallow water anchors are pretty big in the states. Lots of info if you google shallow water anchor. Very simple and effective, I think they will suit a lot of applications in Australia.
Here are a couple of sites.

I'm now trying to find a 3/4 to 1" solid fibreglass pole as I think my 1" Ally tube will bend.
Cheers,
Matt

Re: Southside Ally Fabricator/Boat Builder
thats a great idea mate i hate throwing the anchor specially if unsure if the area will produce so, quickly push the anchor pole into the sand/mud, quick fish is no good pull it up and move on no ropes in the way. will be looking into it more. cheers

Re: Southside Ally Fabricator/Boat Builder
I really like that idea. How long do you need it? Thick wall stainless should work or shove some timber dowel up the centre of your alloy
So many fish..... so little time
