Re: Trailer repairs
Hi Lucee81,
I've had some experiance fixing the springs on my boat trailer and believe i can help. It's really quite easy. Tools required - 1 axe, a bit of rope and about 7 beers. Method - 1. Swear and yell a lot. 2. Have a beer. 3. Scratch your head and ponder. 4. Have a beer. 5. Take your frustration out and a nearby, poor, innocent little tree with the aid of your 'Tools required' (above). 6. lash your victim under the boat trailer to hold everything in place. 7. Have a beer while standing back and admiring your handy work.
Well i hope this helps you out with some DIY!
Zac.

Re: Trailer repairs
Well trailer has new springs, wheel bearings jockey wheel and winch cable and just in time for me to head back to work for 3 weeks.....
Apparently changing springs is easy if you are prepared to cut the old ones out and replace all bolts etc. took about 45 min for the first one and less than 20 min for the second.
After removing the half of spring left in trailer i have learnt rust has been the issue of the day which makes me wonder as the rest of the trailer has no cancer, (this does not include inside RHS).
What do people do to stop rust on brake discs?
Now to sort out my transducer before i send the electronics to Davy's locker....
