My new tub,... what should I name it ?
Picked this up on Sunday for a mear $3000.
4.0m Sea hunter, saftey launch trailer, and what I believe is a 2010 Suzuki 30hp. Come with 2 inflatable life jackets, flares, anchor, led nav lights, paddles, seat, and led lights on trailer. Rego was dew in a few weeks, so i went down to the DOT this morning and transfered and paid for 12 months.
Sea trials so far in the passage with 3 adults, went 39kmh, two up 45 kmh, and one up 49kmh. She tends to have a nose down attitude, don't know how to or if I should fix that. Cruises real well at 30-35kmh, and plains at around 18kmh.
Now what to name the new tub,... The girls like Chillaxing, and I like Lizzard Wizzard. Any Ideas or coments welcomed.

Super cheap mate.. That could have fetched $4000-$4500 based on what I've seen around lately... If I was still looking, I'd have snapped it up in a heartbeat and saved myself $2800!

Holy crapola... This sort of talk should make the Mrs happy, so by all means keep it comming. I will be spending a few $'s on it over the next year, including a full electronics package, leckie, and maybe a refit of the internals.
You got yourself a preety sweet deal yourself,... more of a glamor than this ole tub.

Mine's alright.. Advantages of already having front and rear decks, torque monster 40hp and nearly 1L - only lose approx 5km/h with 2 adults and 2 kids or 2 adults and a stack of gear versus 1 up with nothing but a fuel tank... Kinda points to a higher pitch prop being something I should consider I think.
But as I said, I'd have taken that one over the one I've bought for the savings alone.

What you told the Missus the truth what you really paid - first mistake. At $3000 it is cheap as you will get years out of it and it will always be worth a couple of grand. Get your moneys worth and use the hell out of it.

Nice buy Kind cir .
In regards to it being a bit nose heavy, you could try moving your trim adjustment pin (not the correct name having a brain freeze ATM) out to the furtherest hole this should stop the nose burying in. I hope this makes sense.
As for names I cant help you there I still haven't named my boat after 4 years of ownership.

That's a great bargain! Have you thought of naming it "Cheap as Chips"?
