    Re: Cruise Craft 750 Outsider?

    Hey Chimo

I can't really compare it sorry as I have never been in a big boat prior to the test run when we went down to look at it. And the exhaust is out through the leg.

It was not much louder than a Tinny outboard which is what I'm more used too.

    Thanks Betty

    Hi Chimo,
The exhaust goes through the leg, the boat is going through an extensive revamp at the moment. Hope to have it back in the water for the new year.

    Betty.

If you add more bouyancy by adding a pod it will likely be even more tender that the original outboard version.

Maybe if you did pod it you could make it a flooding pod that emptied out when you take off. Also you could put in some slides to open or close the pod depending on how much weight you have in the bin that was the inboard engine location?

When you say tender do you mean hull ride, the boat rides pretty awesome with the inboard but seems to be boggy in the rear. I'm thinking more deck space if the inboard goes.

No, I mean when at anchor or stopped in the sea a boat when its "tender" will rock and roll and it will even be worse as you move about from side to side. The outboard version of the 750 that I test drove was noticeably "tender" cf to the Seafarer Vagabond that I eventually bought.

Also if you add a pod and outboard consider the trailer. You may exceed the 1.2 m max distance from the rear of the trailer itself to the rear of the load ie the boat, pod and rear of the tilted motor.

oh okay, well theres only one way to find out. Must admit it is very stable at anchor, looks like ill have to fill the boat with fish to compensate.
