Scoota
The Outsider 750 was manufactured by CruiseCraft from 1993 to 1996. Similar concept to the current models in terms of a walk-around, but an entirely different hull philosophy in terms of design - for example, a much finer (read 'more tender') ride. Plenty of examples around. The last one I 'bumped into' was during the Boyne-Tannum Hook-Up this year - local guy owned it and it was still going great guns. It has a length of 7.4 metres and a beam of 2.53 metres, can take single or twin outboard installations. Tipped the scales around 2.4 tonnes on a trailer with a a 225hp outboard. Fuel tank of around 350 litres. If you like, send me a PM and I'll see if I can't hunt out some of the original brochures. Regards. SUPERDAFF (Outsider 625 owner).

Re: Cruise Craft 750 Outsider?
Yeah Marty, they did make them during the 90's I think! Here's one...

Don't think they were a real 750 though, in the old days their model designations were ~LOA., so maybe around 7m or a tad more.
Cheers
Brendon
EDIT: must have been posting at the same time as you Daffy! (If anyone on here would know Scoota - Daffy would). Hopefully see you up at 1770 for the long weekend Daf.

Re: Cruise Craft 750 Outsider?
I had a look at an outboard version, ie test drove it in some sloppy conditions and they are a big boat with a good sized cabin and good deck space. The one I looked at was a little tender due to the deep vee and outboard but it was a solid boat.
Probably the inboard version would be less tender with the extra weight down lower.
Scoota and Marty have a look at the Beachmere one if you get a chance. Its got the good SS Hi Tek manifolds so there is one of the bugbears of inboards sorted. We just fitted HiTeks to a friends 5.7 Merc and they appear to be a good bit of gear (based only on limited hrs use since)

The Agony of Aging
On the morning that daylight savings ended I stopped in to visit my aging friend.
He was busy covering his richard with black shoe polish.

Re: Cruise Craft 750 Outsider?
That one has been for sale for a long time. At least 12 months I reckon. From memory it started around $50k
There was another 2 for sale for a while but they both went (sold I am guessing)
I think the stern drive would turn a lot off this one.
It's a lot of boat for the money though. Get the stern drive checked out and make him an offer, you might be surprised.

Re: Cruise Craft 750 Outsider?
Spot on brother Brendon (just like an Outsider 625 is actually longer than than a 650 - that's when bowsprits were taken back out of the equation and ever since, length has been hull length rather than boat length and let's not get into overall centreline length versus waterline length versus radial length versus pod length versus whizzer length or whatever).
1770? With bells on weather permitting. Bringing Marty and Grumpy as deckies (and sounder/plotter/radar mucker-upperers. At this stage, about 17 people in the crew in addition to your band of regulars. You bringing your big glass one or your shiny new little tin one? Catch you at 'show and tell' on the deck at Manly, if not, hopefully on Thursday night up there. Regards. Daff

Re: Cruise Craft 750 Outsider?
That does look clean. Reckon it would be long gone if it had an outboard on the back, even if it was an older 2 stroke. I am sure inboards put alot of people off, myself included, for no good reason other than inexperience with them and a lack of understanding/knowledge.
Someone I know has the 750 with a 225 2 smoke on the back, have been in it once very briefly, so can't really comment on ride etc, but it is a pretty big boat!
Scott.

Re: Cruise Craft 750 Outsider?
Hi Everyone
Just to let you know that this boat is actually sold. We are the new owners of the boat that is located at Beachmere in the link that was put up. We will be collecting it within the next couple of weeks.

Re: Cruise Craft 750 Outsider?
Well Betty you will have to let everyone know how much less tender an inboard version of the 750 is.
Congrats, it looks like a nice rig.
Did they send the exhaust out through the leg or thru the transom when they fitted the Hi Tek SS manifolds? Apparently there is an extra 30 or so HP to be had if the exhaust back pressure is reduced with a thru transom exhaust (and a nicer note!)
Cheers
