    Above is a link to a thread I started, when I nearly ran over a bloke in a tinnie with no nav lights fitted or working, on Cochranes reefs a while ago.I can see how collisions occure at sea.

    Too much going in the cockpit, no polaroids, sun glare, speed, some older boat windscreens go a bit fuzzy with age , trying to look through those plastic screens........

    Not sure what time that was - but as Giffo said, we have so many effing idiots here that refuse to use lights at night, it was only a matter of time (if, indeed, it was during dark).
