Gladstone help required to inspect boat
Hi gents I am looking at a boat that is in gladstone I am situated 1600km away and before I commit to spending 500 on airfares to go and have a look myself I was wondering if there was anyone that would go and have a look and let me know if it is worth the trouble. Please reply via PM if you can help it would help me out greatly.
Thanks Rusty

Hey rusty
You need to clean out your inbox. No more room to reply.
I travel past the marine centre everyday for work. And at the moment I'm on nightshift which means they are open when I head to work. I will pop in tomorrow and have a good climb on board to check out your list of inspections.
I'll be in touch soon.
Cheers
Damo.

Re: Gladstone help required to inspect boat
One of the best things about this forum is how people are willing to help out with inspecting a boat. It makes buying from a distance much easier.
No point making things idiot proof, they'll only make a better idiot.

Re: Gladstone help required to inspect boat
I went in there a couple of years ago and enquired about pricing for a new outboard.. I was laughed at and the service was pretty much disgusting in all honesty. I must have been wearing the wrong flano that day.
In saying this, I have found only two places worth my business. Curtis Coast Marine and if you have an older outboard go Steve Fleetwood.

Re: Gladstone help required to inspect boat
I went to Gladstone Marine Centre for a new outboard too and the service and price was just great. I am still waiting for a quote from Steve Fleetwood ..... 12 months on and after numerous phone calls and drop in visits !!! I am not associate with Gladstone Marine Centre in any way !!! Booked my mower in for a service at Curtis Coast Marine (was also a mower shop) for a regular service, two weeks later and how rude it was for me to ask about it ! I know when I book my car in for a service I expect it back the same day not in two weeks. How hard can a mower be for christ sake to service !!!

Re: Gladstone help required to inspect boat
I must say that their mower days are over and alot of people like Darren and his mother at Curtis Coast Marine. He does provide good service when it comes to boats ... worth looking him up ! Sorry for the bagging but it only applies to the old mower business, time has moved on. Darren will help you as much as possible whe asked, he is a good bloke ..... sounds like I am apoligising with out apoligising !!! Sorry Darren.
