    Rosco
    You've stolen my thread haha
Just went to the boat show Thursday and i've narrowed my search down to either of the Sailfish boats or the 1900 KC.... Going for a run in the Reef Runner in a weeks time so i think that will make my decision. None of the boats have a dedicated sleeping area which is a bit of a let down concidering the coin outlay (not that i do too much sleeping but it wouild be nice to have the option) and the 'cabin' version has a ordinary anchor setup (pretty much anchor winch only).. The hard top won me over though and the walk through transom. The Shelf Runner would be great but i keep telling myself 100k is just too much coin to outlay, so i guess its a 2nd hand 1900 KC or a new Reef Runner...

One question i have got for anyone that would know... the 1900 KC... is 70s enough for it or would it struggle?? Obviously 90s would be ideal, but i'll be governed by the 2nd hand market...

    Cheers

well went to the boatshow today, had a look at the above mentioned boat in the flesh and was greatly dissappointed in them both.for the money i think i would buy the 1900 kc every day of the week...for 103k on the shelfrunner with 90hp hondas with no kill boxes or for that matter an under seat esky and pretty ordinay electrics i think i would rather take up lawn bowls and get blind every weekend for the next 30 yrs...even the finnish of then was shit.the salesman even told me they ride better than a 2400kc now since i havnt been in 1 id have to take his word on that,not..oh and when i asked about test runs apparently you have to got to sydney to go for 1...why bring the bloody things up here to sell them if not prepared to do seatrials in them....i have now scratched them off my list
    cheers rosco

Better than a 2400?? Yeah right... Woulda lost me right there.
After writing my post yesterday I pretty much talked myself out of one although i will still go for a run just out of curiosity more than anything. Now im thinking the 1900 or even the 2100 Kevlacat although the 2100 might be pushing my tow weight boundries

I had never seen a Voyager until i seen them mentioned here so i checked them out online, very impressed but unfortunatly too heavy for me... but a nice looking rig for sure!

There is the option of an older 5.2 and repowering but dont know that i want the hassles of repodding etc...
