Do you want new from aus? For that kind of money you could get a hell of a lot of boat from the US...

Why not spend an extra 40K and get this Voyager (nice solid boat) http://www.boatpoint.com.au/boats-for-sale/boatdetails.aspx?R=12343818 or this one http://www.boatpoint.com.au/boats-for-sale/boatdetails.aspx?R=13135951 for less

I havent been in the larger 'farer, but the 685 is a nice vessel - planes VERY slow with that flat plank, but even if small bay chop I felt it compared to my smaller and lighter Vag (but with a nice deep traditional V).

Ok conco, just a thought.
So why not this http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Boats/...er=TP004902059 and have some change. Its got the stainless steel manifolds and risers so theres one of the bigger regular costs covered and it on a trailer so the leg issues wouldn't be too bad. Having an inboard would make the 750 stable cf the same hull with outboard as there is weight down low. Nice big boat and 60 K cheaper than a 685 and dryer than people claim the 680 Seafarer is esp at trolling speed. Ask Smithy.

Re: can i get some advie on seafaer, quality & ride?
I actually own a seafarer, not like some regular posters who know someone who has been in one,,
I have a voyager 6.8m, it rides fantistic , it would be great for running around the islands,,
I Was out with another boat (CC 685) in some windy rough stuff, left him for dead,, mine is a Haines build and they are still a great boat,, even he wishes he went the voyager instead of his CC,
Great walk around and still have the cabin, go throw a tape measure over the others, voyager has more room every where, the helm is slightly forward giving you more deck space
Any specific questions just pm me,
Thanks glen

Re: can i get some advie on seafaer, quality & ride?
I had a 6.2m Vagabond and found it good except for my type of use the cab was located too far forward (cuddy) and it also had a tendancy to spear through waves on occasions. Apart from that it was a good boat.

Re: can i get some advie on seafaer, quality & ride?
I too have a Vagabond and also had it spear thru a wave (water to the top of the glass) but you soon learn about trim and keeping the bow up when trawling or just traveling really slowly off the plane so one trims the motors out and lifts the tabs up and problem no longer an issue.
As Noelm says plenty of boats to choose from in this market, your biggest issue will be deciding what you want esp with your budget.
