Re: What have you lost overboard
I've been pretty lucky, only lost my favourite hat my cousin gave me new 12 years ago........
It had a steel wire in the rim and sank like a stone........................ dang ,I hate wasting money, well I didn't pay for it but it had a $ value.............................

No....well yes as I didn't go in before the bloody thing I suppose.
I was hanging onto it (tiller steer) when it went up and in. And I wasn't gunna let go.....for nothing.
The Cook had to drag us both back in.
Funny how loud they are out of the water. No so funny is seeing a prop spinning above your head.

Re: What have you lost overboard
Went crabbing many years ago in my brothers new boat. Tried not to damage his new boat with the wire crab pots and rope so held the rope in my teeth as I threw the pot in but forgot to open my mouth in time and the rope yanked out one of my front teeth. Tooth slowly sank in the Bribie passage
Cheers

Re: What have you lost overboard
I told you about the new phone going swimming in 125 ft well damn it I did it again!
Washed it fresh, straight away after pulling it to bits hit it with the vacuum cleaner to suck whatever H2Oout of it and its sitting in a sealed container of dry rice to try and dry the rest out.
If all else fails we are having a rice dish wake tomorrow nite. On the other hand if it works, well whats a celebratory dish based on rice?

The Agony of Aging
On the morning that daylight savings ended I stopped in to visit my aging friend.
He was busy covering his richard with black shoe polish.
I said to him, "You better get your hearing checked - You're supposed to turn your clock back".

Accepted wisdom is to never inflame a western Vic boy. You never know what could be the consequences.
No point making things idiot proof, they'll only make a better idiot.
