Help save our fishery from closure! Meeting tomorrow morning!

Just had this sent to me From Jones Tackle:

Please find attached an invitation to attend a community fishing forum being held by Senator Sue Boyce later this month. This forum is being held in response to the Federal Government’s proposal for marine networks to cover more than a third of Australia’s coastline.

Since the announcement of the plan there has been concern that the Government has not properly consulted the industries and stakeholders who may be impacted by the proposal, as well as doubt in its scientific basis.

In attendance will be the Coalition’s spokesperson on fisheries, Senator the Hon Richard Colbeck, as well as other guest speakers. Please feel free to distribute this invitation as widely as possible amongst your colleagues, friends, and networks.

Stupid link didn't work. If anyone is interested in attending or know how to get it up on AF send me a PM and I will forward the email to you.

Basically what it is, is a discussion with LNP senator Sue Boyce and the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries in regards to all the green zones that have been implemented under the labour government and what can be done about them.

Totally agree, and this is the first I have heard about. Be lucky if a dozen people turn up, or maybe that's what they want.
