Hope that isnt to confusing??? let me know if it doesnt make sense i will try to explain again. So what cat did you get? second hand or new? there seems to be a few sold recently off boat sales etc.
I got a 2400 Offshore with 140 suzis. What you said about trim makes sense, it was what a guys at work had told me - just takes some getting used to! Do you trim in to take off?

I only went for my second run on Friday and got about 1.1L/km. I am still learning to drive it and it has bottom paint which I am removing shortly which should improve economy I hope.

Yet to have it in ugly weather but will pack some spare grundies.

Rosco, are you saying pull away from the wave?

yeah mate pull down the face of the wave not up the face as kc lean out in turns and this should lift the sponson digging in..if a wave is coming from the starboard side trim the port motor in a bit.oh i know i keep sayin it but you have to drive these boats pretty hard to get them to perform to there full extent..the rougher it gets the faster i go.takes a bit to get used to them but once you do they are a real pleasure to drive..
    cheers rosco
