    From what I hear is ,that the Graphite guides are still not as lite as the titanium ones...?

    They have been using them on the branzino rods for a while now but i cant afford the $1400 for the rod i like.Not sure they are any better than titanium anyway.I can make a lot of custom rods for $1400.

    A size 30 guide is 3 grams lighter than a Fiji sic
    So the entire guide train (on any rod that it is light enough for guide weight to really be noticeable) might differ by 4 grams
    If I'm using a size 30 stripper it's likely a 20-30lb rod
    I think the marketing department gets too carried away with weight when balance is often more important

    I wonder what they strength of these guides are like compared to the titaniums.
