12v - 240v inverter recommendations?
looking to buy one as sometimes some worksites im on have no power connected.
it will only be used to run a makita LXT 18V battery charger.
Chippies usually have gensets running, but I have heard of them frying battery chargers, and a charger at $300+ I dont wanna take that risk.
can anyone recommend one?
thanks

Careful with inverters as mate had issues just like gensets. Was sine wave not square or something and they cooked batteries or charger? The correct one was the more expensive one. The cheapo little gensets can put out real dirty power.
Is this the right model? At least it will look after the batteries but you need to sort not draining your battery or leaving the key in the vehicle on acc. I'm sure you'll find it cheaper OS

Thanks for that, I think the problem was when the chippies air compressor kicks in or when they use the drop saw, the surging of power was the issue.
If I can't find a good inverter they are a good alternative...
I think I would prefer an inverter coz then it would give me the option to run something else if I ever needed to
