You need a 'user' memory card (in addition to the CMap), card reader and PC Planner software by memory.

Its worth every cent if you go out on a regular basis. I use mine to plan each trip saving on time and fuel. After each trip any new points and a brief description are transfered from the plotter to PC planner.

The card reader will take C-map SD cards, user card, Max NT and Bathymetric cards. Just started using the bathymetric charts and found they give you a heap of info the normal charts dont.

Had mine for years and used the user card to transfer points to 2 new plotters. Have a look at the US sites for a good price, its probably of little value without the user card.

Just did it yesterday, C-Map to Lowrance. You will need a shareware program called GPS Utility to convert from a C-Map *.xml file to a Lowrance *.usr file. Just need to pay the $60US for the registered version, find a crack or work out a way to split the waypoints up a few at a time and convert them across.

Give TRYMAX Marine a call, they offered to do mine for me for a small fee, so I didn't need to buy the C-map reader and software.
