bugger need phone advice

i got some advice from another AF member about using my mobile phone for navionics he had mentioned the only was to do it was using android 2.3 at the time i was running 1.6 on my android phone so i tried upgrading to the android 2.3 to run navionics and its been a total mess the program i think only half installed and went ass up i finally got my phone back to version 2.1 and working now accepting calls and internet is working i was planning on just using googles "my tracks" as a GPS chart plotter but i cant access any android market download so there goes that idea just wondering if anyone can help with the above problem or should i just get another phone like this cheapie on ebay running 2.3 gingerbread? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/120810124...84.m1438.l2649

Sounds to me your problem is your phones software, try doing a factory reset and then do the upgrade to 2.3 using the software and cable that should have come with the phone as I suggested in your earlier post.
I wouldnt buy the phone in that link with your money, maybe look at buying a 2nd hand "brand name" phone if you absolutely cannot or dont want to get your LG to work.

Hi mate, i use navionics on my Samsung Galaxy S, its fantastic. i wouldn't get one of those older phones as they have no support and sometimes don't even have 3G!!!

Navionics is deffinatly worth the money i recommend you buy a Android tablet or even an iPad as you can then enjoy navionics on a big screen!!!! I would only buy an Android , but thats just me!
