Re: Bimini - Choice of Length?

Years ago I bought a big umbrella at one of the boat shows called extend-a-brolly and it has a ram type swivel fitting to adjust and lock the angle and a clamp on the end to attach to any part of the railing on the side of the boat, it wasn't cheap $120 but it works a treat.

    Splash:

I cut about 6cm off the end of a noodle (one that has the ~1cm diametre hole down the center). Then cut that 6cm bit in half down it's length. I then jammed one of the bits right to the bottom, then the second bit 180 degrees rotated in the seat tube. The umbrella shaft wedges down nicely. I've turned a few brollies inside out (I by a few of those $10 jobbies at the cheapo shops whenever i see em on special) but never had one blow out of the hole. I don;t use them whilst underway tho, obviously.
