I hope I'm not going to jinx myself by posting this but I've gone from a definite NO to a MAYBE.

Put my leave form in today and after 8 years of continual service with not 1 sick day I think I may have a chance to fly out early.

yep. went out yesterday morning. 2 legals and 3 unders in less than 2 hours including travelling time. stopped at the ramp to chat to the old bait boys who had been anchored near huybers way before i left - not a single fish let alone a keeper. course these blokes are in their 70's and obviously new to fishing. after all they were using bait. failing that, check out my nice peel snap post from monday. and if that aint recent enough wait for royslavens post later tonight

The only tears shed by the the arti boys will be tears of Joy after taking out the prizes and maybe a few tears from the family's of bait fisho's who have nothing to bring to the table. Except hot chips No fish!

Yep know that feeling needed an extra hand to carry the esky last sunday with a cobia in it up to the filleting tables one of the bait guys helped as he said he didn't need to fillet anything as they got nothing but a few empty bags of bait.
Too right, I better wear my wet weather gear to keep off the spray if I don't come good.
Pressure is mounting .... good times.
