Re: new bt50 bullbar near falls off
Fitted Bull bars have to comply with the ADR and that would have to effect the setting off of the air bags. What WILL Mazda and or the fitter do if the driver gets the steering wheel through the head.
It's a safety issue. A life threatening one.![]()
Only half the lies I tell are true.

Re: new bt50 bullbar near falls off
I had Mazda vans and 4x4s for more than 30+ years, and in that time I had problems with 2 of them. Both times I contacted Mazda directly.
One was a paint issue which they fixed by going back to bare metal just to make sure they fixed the problem and repainted the entire van from the undercoat up.
The other was a metal fatigue issue which they fixed by virtually bebuilding and reinforcing the entire floor of my Bravo.
In both cases they took samples for testing to see if it was a design fault or a part/paint supplier quality issue. In both cases the 4x4 and van were both out of warranty. They also took steps to see if the issues were one offs or more common by contacting Mazda car clubs and doing more inspections.
The point I'm trying to make is Mazda have, in my experence, always done the right thing as opposed to their dealerships who don't want to know once the cheque clears.
If the dealership treats you like all dealerships do, I strongly recommend you politly talk or write to Mazda directly. You may be pleasently suprised.
P.S. I'm not a Mazda groupy or employee. I current drive a Hilux and a Hyundai i30.

Re: new bt50 bullbar near falls off
Nah, never been one to buy brand names just for the sake of it.....
I have a new Pathfinder, it's my 2nd one, I loved the first so much I went back for another at the end of it's term. It was a great vehicle that suited my needs perfectly, even with the clutch issue (which I got sorted out relatively painlessly) so I probably shouldn't be making fun of ugly cars![]()
