CSIRO Monitoring Buoy North of Flat Rock - South of 33's Reef - Moreton Bay

I know there has been some different points of view of whether this buoy is in a green zone or not and I know people have been taking Dollies from this buoy. According to my GPS it was just in the corner of the green zone so in order to find out for sure I contacted CSIRO - please see response below -

Long story short it is IN THE GREEN ZONE

I wanted to make sure, so myself and fellow ausfishers didnt get caught out...

This CSIRO buoy is part of the IMOS Australian National Moorings Network (ANMN), which monitors particular oceanographic phenomena in Australian coastal ocean waters (such as Multi-decadal Ocean Change, Boundary Currents, Continental Shelf Processes and Biological Responses). Yes, the buoy is situated in a Moreton Bay Marine Park Green zone to protect it from trawling. Naturally, the buoy has all the required approvals from the QLD DERM and Maritime Safety Queensland.
