Re: Who am I
Has to be Che, that berret gives it away immediately.

Re: Who am I
Yes it is Che.
Terrorist?e
Depends on who's telling the story and the definition I suppose.
I don't subscribe to his politics. Far from it.
However I've read his personal diaries and you have to admire a man that was willing to die for his beliefs and who walked away from the fat life he could have had in Cuba to go help peasants on Bolivia.
It's much easier to espouse capitalism when you aren't starving.
Anyway, this isn't aus.politcs
So why Che?
It's an iconic image is the main reason.
And it amuses me to try a well known face.
Cheers,
Owen

Packed and rolled. CP, but no epoxy.
This one is a gift, so I did it on some tube so it can be fitted to a rod and trimmed as they see fit.
Cheers,
Owen

Re: Who am I
Nice work !!! it's hard enough to capture someones face with a pencil let alone doing it with strands of thread. I wish I had half your patience.
So shines a good deed in a weary world

Re: Who am I
A terrorist? PinHead are you serious or just giving us a wind-up?
A doctor thinks a few things are amiss, switches professions, conducts some raids, seizes control of land from a torturing, child-killing military dictator (Batista), then hands that land over to the peasants, treats his prisoners well (many of whom then fall in behind him) and you call him a terrorist?
A CIA-backed militia catch up with him, beat the daylights out of him, pump a gazillion shots into him in cold blood, without even giving him a trial and you reckon Che's the terrorist?
Along the way, he's involved in slashing rents, abolishing racial segregation, grabbing back infrastructure assets stolen by the henchmen of a corrupt dictatorship and creates a community-owned telephone system.
You need to consider many authorities on Che Guevara - not just US versions or movies - to get a real understanding.
You could use a lot of terms to describe Che and yes, at times some might be a little harsh, but 'terrorist' would not be one of them.
Owen - great work on the threads mate. Recognised it instantly ... but then again, as you and the otherwise quite thoughtful PinHead might have guessed, Che is one of my favourite fishing spots ... if you get my drift. SUPERDAFF

Looks great Owen. Can I ask what the heatshrink is for in the first pic?
I've taken note of how those colours work well together... lol...
