PNG Fishing Trip

Is anyone planning a PNG trip?

Does anyone know of a mothership type operation?

Looking at BAIA, two freinds just came back 1 bass in 1 week, apparently its been flogged.

Just do not have the local knowledge of where to go.

Might have to do a search through the forums . Has been a few poeple do some posts on black bass..

PNG is high on my things to do list.

I did a trip to BAIA in September this year.......the fishing was very slow and i managed about 15 or so bass for the week.

That area does need a break it's been fished hard and many of the fish have been kept for the local villager's.

I'm looking into somewhere on the western side in Irian ATM but it's hard to get any good info on the area let alone a good charter operator.

Baia was the perfect base camp/lodge set up and Riccard has set it up well but the fishing is now too poor there to consider going back.....Apparently he is looking into another lodge on the otherside of Kimbe.

One thing i can tell you is that the Black Bass are addictive and i'll have to go back and have another crack at them for sure.
