I would like something similar that is hand held. I have a 12v socket on my console that I would like to run a hand held spotlight from. Anyone know where I can get one of these?

Looks very easy to use a old rod butt as a handle and then you can use it in any rod holder as well- they attract quiid / baitfish and being led you won't haveto keep motor running.

Most handhelds are very average and not many led ones. Hella lenses have alwats been good. The through cabin roof Hellas search lights are brilliant as they were both spot and flood and really controlable even in swell. The Aussie price of hella stuff is out of reach so happy to see some appearing on the internet.

    Here it is Sir,

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/15w-4-LED-Wor...item4aa709eae2

I got one of those and they had none in stock so the rang me and asked if I mind if they sent a 18W ones? LOL.
I hooked one of the 18w to my 4x4 and it lit up the whole campsite arpound 200m2, so the rear of a boat isnt a problem, its very well built for the price asked.

Only danger is dont look at it, it has the same sort of effect as welding flashbut to a lesser extend, it is really that bright.

This one below is abit odd.

It saywhite LED but has a photo of what loks to be CREE leds, and you really only want CREE led types.
    and beware of this fella

DC-POWERMAN he is on ebay and ripped me of on anderson plugs. Pay for them and never recieved them and he takes no responsibilty for anything that he sell.
A real crook in the making.

I have a couple of these lights the bottom link, as was going to use to light the floor of the boat 1 either side, but when i got them they are bright so have 1 under canopy and lights the hole deck and back of boat, used the other 1 to do same job on my 16 ft boat as well.
