Car Bra / Water Bra
http://www.msaproducts.com.au/Products/WaterBra.asp
Does anyone know of this product or have any feedback on this product.
I am interested in buying one as I will be going North soon and there are some water crossings that concern me (Woobaddaa creek - bloomfield track). At the moment it is about 600mm high and my petrol GREAT WALL 4 x 4 might struggle without it.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Car Bra / Water Bra
Mate, we used to use an old hessian sack over the front.
But any upholsterer/canvas dude would be able to whip something up.
How's the Great Wall going for you??
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

Heading up the Bloomfield track to Cooktown. I will let you know when I get back........................hopefully it's not a case of "LAST SEEN HEADING NORTH".
Great wall has not had a lot of 4x4 stuff so we will see. The other da i just could not get it to engage into 4 wheel drive. All working now

Mate I haven't heard of them, but this did the trick for Summertrance on the Condamine Gorge run.

Re: Car Bra / Water Bra
Those michelle's bra's are popular and go fine for water crossings.
For a one off though, just get a cheap small tarp from bunnings and keep it in the car.
Open the bonnet, lay the tarp along the front of the car so it drapes over a couple of feet, then slam the bonnet on it.
At least you'll stand a chance of having the tarp in the car when you need it because they fold up small.
The michelle's one's are a little bigger which is always an issue when packing for touring.
Worst case scenario, occy strap the clutch fan to the chassis and make a decent bow wave.
