    1770 November

    Advise Please.

Heading to 1770 in early November for a week weather permitting, what is likely to be around at that time of year? Will be fishing offshore. Is it a bit early for the Spaniards?

    Any advice welcomed

Hi banjo -there should be spanish and cobia around as well as the odd billfish especially around bustard head. Plenty of other fish out on the reefs including reds, trevally, possibly some snapper etc.

    Thanks for that Rascal

I've been up there a couple of times now, both times around April/ May. Have always done reasonably well on the Spanish, GT's Goldens etc . Never been up there later in the year so was unsure if the spaniards would be around.

You may be lucky and run into the schools of spotties on the surface around that time. Should be a few spaniards maybe. We get some 8 - 10 kg ones around christmas and the bigger ones come on from easter till june.
