Sounder has packed it in.

I am after some advice on a new sounder as mine has packed it in. Any ideas on something around $500-$600mark. My old one was an Eagle 420. Does Navman make a straight sounder without the GPS

I think it was Anaconda that had a special on this week for a hummingbird for about the 450 mark supposed to be at half price.

you after colour or B&W? I have a furuno ls4100 and I love it....

Just found a dealer that stocks furuno and he also has a colour garmin 400c that looks ok, I will check out the IS 4100. Thanks

Long way down. They're a true 300W RMS dual frequency setup and you have the flexibility to choose a transducer (good Airmar ones) to suit your boat.
Max. depth range is 3000ft.
Easily connected to GPS as well.
I'm happy with my 4100. I've had it about 4 years new and never played up.
A lot better then the Humminbird 727 I have in the other boat.

A question though for Mangrove Jock....what happened to your sounder??

Hi,

At what price does the LS 4100, come in at if you don't mind. Would you say it is a better unit than the Lowrance X52, I have in my 4.10m boat. I mainly fish coochiemudlo and Macleay etc.

Thanks Mossy I am about to go a LS 4100 I was quoted $450 and I cant wait to give it a go. It looked by far the best value
