Southport Seaway / Twin Waters
Hey Guys,
Now that i have a couple of weeks off school, Im hoping to get my dad out and target some fish. I want to start off in the seaway and try and pick up something bigger than a bream
, maybe a Jewfish, Trevally etc. My dad is definetly a bait person so if im going to be using lures it will be while were anchored up. Any info on areas to target, baits to use, lures to use, etc. will be very much appreciated.
Im also heading of to twin waters on the sunny coast on wednesday and was wondering if it was worth taking a rod to fish around there. Ill be landbased and dont really want to travel too far from the resort. Ive never fished the area and wouldnt have a clue where to start so once again all help will be appreciated.
Cheers!!"The two best times to fish is when it's rainin' and when it ain't."
Cheers, Dylan

hi dylan.
good to see a Young fellow with a healthy hobby like fishing.
not much of a fisherman myself but the sea way is always a good chance
of catching a big one. dont know about sunny coast butt just look at your environment your fishing, drop offs, pylons, current lines, ect
great time of year to throw a line in and soak up some sun and fresh air.
good luck, rob............![]()

Hey Dylan, in the seaway there's a pipeline try flicking plastics near that as that's where all the trevally hang out. Also if you get some livies drop a live bait there and you should hook up onto a jewie or a large trev. If you go early in the morning to the seaway there are also some tailor smashing baits with some trevally hanging near the tailor. For twin waters as rob said, look for structure, drop offs and you should hook up onto a few decent fish. Also if you go into main Noosa take a rod and have a flick in the river, you never know what will pop up in that river.
All in all, have a great time. Cheers Tom
