Mounting GPS receiver
Hello all.
I've just got myself a GPS receiver for my matrix 12 sounder. My question is can I flush mount the receiver on the gunnel of my boat? or does it have to be extended up a certain distance? I cant imagine 3-4 inches making any difference but I thought I'd check first. The instruction manual doesnt mention anything about it

Nah i flush mounted mine on my gunnel and it work's fine,as long as the reciever has a clear view it won't matter.

1. The key point is "clear view of the sky" in all directions
2. As long as you have that clear view of the sky and the antenna is out of the way, not where people will walk on it or sit on it or where it can be damaged then mounting height doesn't matter
