Live Bait off Mooloolabah

Hi All,

Even though the snapper seem to be biting well at this time of year, I am keen to load up on some livies out from Mooloolabah.. I have never had any luck tracking down some good yakkas as the best I ever do is a few happy moments.. I have tried basically only around the inner gneerings. Could any one give me some info on where to get this tasty little morsels as I am keen to do a bit of sportfishing this summer.
Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated and am keen to swap some good marks from Wide Caloundra and the banks if required!!!

depends really, we have a spot x for bait but its a fair way out, as in maybe 3 nm back to the mainland from the banks and about 70m deep, a couple of the bigger boats that chase marlin are generally there around this time of the year too.
For closer in i have no idea where you could get them from apart from schools just swimming around.
